About me

Who Am I?
I am an author, biology lecturer and biomedical scientist. I left school with no qualifications due to a multitude of early childhood trauma’s which I have successfully overcome. I lost my beautiful twin sister to suicide and it led me on a pathway as an author to write about our story to try and help those who feel like there’s no way out after trauma.
I’ve previously worked in Cancer Research, Haematology and Blood Transfusion. I have featured in the Biomedical Scientist monthly gazette, the Fife College Fife Circle STEM Edition magazine and Kingdom FM radio for International Women’s Day. I currently write and teach.

Why do some people thrive after trauma and others struggle?

The answer lies in the CHOICES we make. We can choose to feel victimised or we can choose to thrive.
The tite of my book, ‘Choice Point’ arose from the idea that if you pause for a moment there is a ‘point’ at which you can choose your reaction to whatever situation you are experiencing. It is at this ‘point’ in time where our power lies.
Where we can choose to react habitually with old negative mind programs or we can choose, in that moment, to react in the best possible way for the best possible outcome.

My mission is to inspire, encourage and empower people. I show people how to make better choices, find their own inner strength and believe in themselves. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’ve come from you can still be happy and successful.
